Tohoku University participated in the University Fair at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur on June 29th.
Seven national universities and nine private universities presented their programs offered in English. High school students interested in the programs came to the fair mainly in the morning, and university students were the majority of the participants in the afternoon.A lot of people who came to Tohoku University’s booth were curious about engineering, since our School of Engineering is one of the best places to study it in Asia.
The participants were not only Malaysian nationals but also from various other countries including India, Bangladesh, Canada and Ukraine.
We also visited local schools. One of them was Tsun Jin High School, an independent Chinese high school in Kuala Lumpur. Each university presented their great programs using photos and PowerPoint slides. It may be too early for Malaysian high school students to think about their course of university study, but they should feel free to contact us with any questions regarding our program and university!
